William Kennedy Scholarship Mr. William Kennedy, who died suddenly in 1992, was an active volunteer in the community and served the Champlain Heights Community Association as President and Treasurer during his term as Board Director. He also valued and supported young people on a lifelong basis through both his occupational and community work. This scholarship money is given to two students who have been involved in activities as either a volunteer or leader at Champlain Heights Recreation Centre, or Community Centre and demonstrates leadership and exceptional citizenship in the community. 2022 recipients: Stephanie huang She will be furthering her education at Simon Fraser University in the Beedie School of Business, with a degree in business administration. She hopes to someday start a business of her own! Alika Sharma She will begin her undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University in the Faculty of Science with a major in Biological Sciences. She plans to then further her education and become a registered pharmacist.
