Since 1978, City Farmer has been teaching people how to grow food in the city, compost their waste and take care of their home landscape in an environmentally responsible way.. For four decades City Farmer has encouraged urban dwellers to pull up a patch of lawn and plant some vegetables, herbs and fruit. Their message is the same today as it was in 1978 and will be relevant far into the future. After our city farmer visit we will have lunch at the Cactus club. Following lunch we will have a visit to Sole Food Street farms. Sole Food Street Farms is an internationally recognized social enterprise that transforms vacant urban land into street farms. Our mission is to empower individuals with limited resources by providing jobs, agricultural training, and inclusion in a supportive community of farmers and food lovers. Guided by Simon Yan.
