Champlain Heights Community Association
The responsibilities of the Champlain Heights Community Association include shaping programming, hiring staff, raising funds, accessing grants, developing rental policy, advocating for our parks and ensuring that decisions affecting the community are made at the grassroots level. The revenue generated through programs and rentals stays in our community and is invested in activities for children, special events, facility enhancements and park programs. The Association advocates for this community on a number of levels and your voice helps us better represent the community.
Let us know how this Centre can serve you and how you would like to be involved. Your contribution can be anywhere from an hour at an event to serving on the Board of Directors or on one of its committees.
We are pleased to see that there is discussion about the community map at Blake & Champlain Crescent on the South- East corner.
#1) Thank you for re-establishing the Champlain Heights sign and adding the plants recently. Looks so much better!!
#2 Suggestions for Community Map
Lower the sign; paint the frame in an earth tone ( green / brown) or reframe altogether again in a more appealing colour or a natural wood frame similar to other park entrance maps at Everett Crowley or in Central Park
Also improve the appearance of the electrical transformer boxes; Burnaby decorates them with
Greenery / Floral art
